| Internship Description African-American Mentorship Program Interns will receive training to assist in their establishment of long-term relationships with an elementary, middle, or high-school age child. The AAMP is dedicated to providing life-changing experiences for local youths in the form of life-skills mentoring, academic and cultural enrichment, and other activities. Mentoring will be facilitated primarily between the intern and his/her client, but there will also be opportunities for group mentoring, activities, and field trips in conjunction with other mentor/mentee pairs. Intern Eligibility Requirements -African-American Undergraduate, Graduate, or Post-Graduate student -Interest in violence intervention and prevention -Willingness to take an active and prolonged interest in mentee -Desire to change a child’s life Ad provided by Idealist.org |
