Description:
This role combines business thinking, analytical skills and technical expertise to perform information analysis and decision support.

Responsibilities:

Finance Analytics
• Manage annual global marketing budget planning process, in alignment with revenue goals and market share goals.
• Manage and continuously improve global Marketing expense forecasting process, efficiency metrics and reporting with a focus on:
o optimizing spend and visibility
o highlighting areas of concern/deviation and recommending corrective action
o providing monthly variance analysis/commentaries
o using an ROI-based approach
• Aggregate and analyze marketing ROI globally (efficiency metrics, lead generation and pipeline).
• Forecast the impact of budget on lead generation requirements.
• Manage the month-end Close process for the Marketing organizations supported

Marketing Analytics
• Manage, assess and aggregate lead generation requirements and pipeline management success metrics globally to ensure the delivery of global revenue goals.
• Tracking expenses from “Lead†to “close†of new business, and ability to speak and justify allocation of expense (ROI).
• Data manipulation, mathematical, and statistical modeling to analyze sales and/or marketing efforts to maximize financial results.
• Perform multivariate analytics; create promotional response models
• Provide expert analysis and advice on strategic and tactical sales and marketing efforts
• Perform forecasting and post-mortem analysis of marketing programs and present to marketing partners the results including key findings.
• Support development of new database marketing campaigns by designing test methodology, building predictive models, developing list selection criteria and defining mailing parameters
• Identify, evaluate and assimilate cutting edge technology and software to keep company at forefront of analytical and quantitative capability

Minimum Requirements:
• BS degree/or equivalent in business, finance, marketing, science, mathematics or other quantitative field. MBA or MS preferred
• Experience in entrepreneurial, high-growth, fast paced environment. Alternative energy a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with at least 8 years of financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis experience -including both variance analysis and forecasting
• Knowledge of UNIX, relational databases and on-line analytical processing (OLAP) tools
• Knowledge of project management techniques.
• Requires knowledge of data mining, data analysis and data modeling techniques
• Ability to translate knowledge into effective models for budgeting and forecasting
• Strong customer service and presentation skills with the ability to work and communicate well within a team environment and with others of different disciplines
• Experience working in a global matrix organizations including experience influencing others
• Experience delivering findings to Sr. Leaders within groups/B.U.
• Proficient with MS Office and extremely strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions

Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct marketing experience including email, web and mail
• Understanding of relational databases and usage of large data sets
• Familiarity with Siebel OnDemand, Salesforce.com, or other BI software
• Oracle experience
• SAS experience
• Thorough knowledge of advanced analytical/data management techniques; forecasting, portfolio optimization, promotional response modeling, call planning, etc.
• Accounting experience
